Remember the hotter your transmission oil gets the thinner your oil gets. The thinner your oil gets, the more it will leak past valves and end caps. This will cause a number of shift quality issues. By installing a transmission oil cooler, the intended viscosity of the oil remains intact. Not only does this improve shift quality, but it also improves the longevity of the entire transmission.

• Never install a multi-piece transmission cooler bracket or one that includes the transmission cooler as part of the bracket structure.  They are prone to fatigue and failure.
